Farewell to a famous Supporter of Field Gun

Ian relished his two years of National Service in the Royal Navy and was fascinated thereafter by all things military.

He was a great advocate of Naval Field Gun, writing supportive articles and helping to create "To the Limit and Beyond", Presenting and Narrating the 1979 BBC Film about 1978's Portsmouth Field Gun Crew.
