Message from Bug Wrightson...

Dear all,
I know it's just after Christmas and money is tight, however........
I'm committed to a big fundraising effort this year to raise money for Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to improving the health of babies and children. This is my last fundraising effort before I leave the Navy so I've signed up for the London to Paris cycle ride (about 350 miles) in July 2010 and need to raise at least £1200. By my reckoning if all my oppos give £10 each (=3 pints, 4 Costa coffees, or 5 oggies) I'll easily exceed that total. Having said that, if all you can offer is a few coppers, I would be just as grateful. I'm part of "Team Wrightson" as I'll be riding with Ian, and sharing a room with him and his snoring for 4 days!

As a warm up for London to Paris I'll be racing in a load of time trials of varying distances, riding a very hilly 140 miles in 1 day, and a host of other long distance cycle events..........in addition to over 100 miles a week commuting to work and back. In all I should top 5000 miles this year and will keep everyone informed of progress on my Facebook page.

There are 3 ways you can sponsor me:
a. Log on to my sponsorship page www.action.org.uk/sponsor/bugwrightson and do it all on line (quick, easy and totally secure).
b. Send me a cheque (payable to Action Medical Research), cash or Spanish dubloons which I will pay it direct to the charity on your behalf (also let me know your address and if you pay UK tax so AMR can claim Gift Aid).
c. Pledge to pay a certain amount and I'll send the boys round to collect after the event (also let me know your address and if you pay UK tax so AMR can claim Gift Aid).
